I possess a strong background in traditional drawing and illustration methods, eleven years of field experience in illustration, design, digital image composition, retouching, correction, and restoration; drum and flatbed scanning; internet graphics and website design. Current projects include creating and updating financial marketing materials such as pitchbook presentations and one-pagers, creating logos and graphics for various business units and creating and manipulating online invitations and animations. These pieces require daily use of PowerPoint, Word, Excel, QuarkXpress, Flash, Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator. -- December 1999 to July 2001 My primary activities involved producing finished press-ready files and printing plates for a computer-to-plate short-run printing house. This entailed creating and/or modifying files on Macintosh systems, using QuarkXpress, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and other graphics applications; operating and maintaining Panther imagesetter for poly-plate output. Also required hi-res color scanning, font management, image correction, paste-up of customer proofs, color separations, as well as trapping control and file management. I was also involved in design of client logos and printe, including stationery, mailings, and presentation In an additional capacity, I was responsible for graphic design, layout, and administration of several ecommerce web sites hosted through Digital Color Graphics, including www.fobusholster.com and www.talkingtrends.com. I utilized Adobe Photoshop, ImageReady, and GoLive for graphics production and site upkeep. -- November 1998 to December 1999 I managed production of digital product photography for use on a natural products e-commerce website. Created and maintained image workflow utilizing digital capture and Adobe Photoshop. Also produced images for a variety of special promotions, including company-wide standard desktop graphic, 'gift basket' photographs, and facility-specific signage. -- February 1997 to October 1998 My duties included preparing customer files for output to Fire1000 film plotter, Encad Novajet plotter, and Litejet 5000 direct-digital printer, in addition to creating or modifying artwork to customer specifications. Daily tasks involved heavy use of Adobe Photoshop 4.0, Adobe Illustrator 7.0, and QuarkXPress 3.32 and 4.0on Macintosh and Windows platforms, as well as PageMaker 5.5, 6.0, and 6.5 (Mac/Windows), CorelDraw (Mac/Windows), and the Cheetah raster image processor under Windows NT. Also required execution of tape backup and retrieval using Dantz Retrospect, and CD backup using Adaptec Toast. -- January 1994 to December 1996 I was responsible for multiple phases of image creation and manipulation of original photo composites (photography, scanning, retouching, prepress, color separation) using Adobe Photoshop 2.5 though 3.0.4, Adobe Illustrator 6.0 and 7.0, and QuarkXPress 3.32.
