Summer 2004.

Ambassador to Moria -- As an ambassador, one needs a certain ability to bridge the differences between two groups. In this case, Berrick is not only a Tadcaster, but shares a unique, um, poimt of view with the Dwarves of Moria. This comes in handy for getting on their good side in negotiations, and believ me, you don't want to be on the bad side of a Dwarf.
Chair-tester -- Similar to "Beefeater", but not. This duty is hand-in-glove with Lissa's work as Jr. Assasin with regard to dangerous seating. In this capacity, Berrick puts people at ease with the idea of actually sitting on a chair that Lissa has offered them. Peace of mind is a powerful drug.
Joint Manipulation Specialist (Nautical) -- Um. "He cracks other people's knuckles on a non-volounteer basis"? Yeah.

Captain Sam Roberts was described thus by the test:
Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. Two things complete your pirate persona: style and swagger. Maybe a little too much swagger sometimes -- but who really cares? Arr!
